2016 STEVIE AWARDS FOR WOMEN IN BUSINESS
Clearwater, FL – November 28, 2016 – Miss America’s Outstanding Teen, Inc. (MAOTeen) has been recognized in four categories in the 13th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
MAOTeen, one of the nation’s leading achievement programs, was awarded for a second year in a row as an Organization of the Year, winning a Bronze Stevie Award for its work to nurture and build the scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement of our nation’s youth.
MAOTeen also won a Silver Stevie Award for PR Campaign of the Year for its public service campaign “The Presidential Project,” which increased voter registration and raised issue awareness and fiscal understanding for young people across the country.
In addition, MAOTeen’s President, Kim Parrish, was named a Female Executive of the Year and Female Innovator of the Year for a second consecutive year, winning silver and bronze respectively. Parrish has been a driving force behind MAOTeen’s incredible growth and reputation as one of the country’s largest scholarship providers for teen girls, making $32 million available annually in cash and in-kind scholarships. Travelling 40,000 miles and appearing at hundreds of speaking engagements during her past year of service, Parrish remains committed to helping young women reach their potentials, and is dedicated to expanding MAOTeen’s programs and strengthening its scholarship base.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world's top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. More than 1,400 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in more than 90 categories. The awards were presented on Friday, November 18 during the 13th annual awards dinner at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
